On the way to work, I encountered a tow-truck driver with a bad attitude.
He tailgated me through a 30 mph school zone, flashing his lights. After we got out of the school zone, I sped up to the regular speed limit of 45. He continued to tailgate me and flash his lights, and he started laying on the horn. When I reached a red light, he swung into the empty right turn lane and raced past me through the red light, nearly wrecking another car.
After seeing this reckless behavior, I called the tow truck company and reported the incident to a manager.
My husband was horrified that I reported the guy. "What if he gets fired?" hubby asked.
I feel that I was justified in calling his manager. If this guy worked for my family's business, I'd want to know about behavior like this before I handed him the keys to a company vehicle. And I don't want to share the road with this guy, especially with him in a giant tow truck.
So settle our bet. Was I right to report Mr. Road Rage?

you did do right in reporting but are you so sure it was road rage or how do you know that he hadn't just got an emergency call about a loved one and was trying to get there fast. either way he still shouldn't have been driving like that but we never know how we will react in a situation like that. if he was acting the way you described it sounds like it could have been a family emergency or a very serious wreck. if so i'm certain you never got him fired if so his boss wasn't much of a boss anyway.unless he has a habit of getting reported for reckless driving, or that he drives like this as he pleases.we would all be surprised how we would react if we got an emergency call concerning one of our children or another loved one.

wreck-less driving from all vindication, is against the law of driving.Secondly, if there had been any out come as regards to this event, it would have claimed so many lives, thereby implicating the owner (the manager) into an unending problem.
So i stand to say that your reporting him was the best help so far that any average person could do to save both from being at loss.

Tennesee drives are unquestionably very undesirable. I certainly have only approximately been hit maximum of cases because of the fact people did not supply up at a supply up sign or pulled onto a street devoid of looking. Too many people speaking on their cellular telephones at a similar time as utilising!! I remember the week when I have been given my drivers license, I witnessed an extremely undesirable break. At an intersection, one course had a turn sign, and the turn sign grew to become yellow as a automobile replaced into turning left. a woman perpendicular to the course with the turn sign replaced into paying no interest to her crimson gentle and ploughed into the automobile that replaced into turning left. i replaced into in Georgia on the interstate one time while somebody tried to get into my lane at a similar time as they have been good next to me. That replaced into rather frightening.

Good for you! Drivers like that cause a lot of accidents, you might make a difference. The manager should be grateful, who knows this guy might of had several call ins, If he loses his job then maybe driving for a living isn't for him or the rest of us possible victims on the road.
I'm proud of you. You were no doubt right!

Yes anyone who drives like that should not be in a commercial vehicle. That's why you always see those "How's my driving?" signs on commercial vehicles. Reckless driving causes accidents, raises insurance rates, and raises blood pressure for no reason. Besides the life you save by reporting him could be your own.

Right! We need more people like you on the roads to help report these dangerous drivers. Too many people just get mad and flip them off but never does anything that matters to help solve the problem.

Hands down yes you were right in reporting him. He was nothing but a hazard with a big vehicle. I think it would be better off if he got fired personally...

Yes, not nearly enough people report them
He probably won't get fired only reprimanded unless he's had allot of people report him in which case he should be fired and get into another line of work.
