Dario will be a also ran just like villuenve and carptiener. Come on folks..these guys ridiculed NASCAR, they made fun of their fans and called it "taxi cab" racing. Now that the money is being blown there way they have all of a sudden changed their tune?...Dario was succesful last year because he had great equipment. gnassi isnt competitive in Cup, he never will be, he is purely in it for the money not the racing. Dario will fall flat on his face. He will finish 30th in points and be barley spoken of. These guys arnt in their prime anymore. They are on their last leg and NASCAR are the only guys who wants them. We all know road racing specilist adapt so well to ovals...they should be required to race a full season in truck and a full season in busch for they even think about showing up at talladega, racing in a pack of 43 cars. This isnt formula one villuenve, 15 seconds doesnt seperate each other. This is side by side racing for 188 laps.

It will be interesting to see how Dario does in NASCAR. Not withstanding JPM's win at Infineon, so far none of the open-wheel refugees has made much of a dent on NASCAR. Some of that may be unfamiliarity with the equipment, tracks and style of racing, and some of it is not being with great teams. Chip Ganassi Racing and Bill Davis Racing have never been compared to Hendrick, Gibbs, Roush, Childress and the superteams of NASCAR. And it's not likely they ever will. I understand the drivers going after the money, but I would be privately hurting inside going from first in one series to an also-ran in another.

It's an interesting concept to bring in established racing talent in another form of motorsport instead of developing younger talent coming up through the stock car ranks. That has worked extremely well in the past with HMS (Jeff Gordon) and JGR (Tony Stewart) but has not been the recent trend. However, it is proving to be successful for Chip and he has a pretty decent eye for talent. I think Dario will be just fine and do better than the driver he is replacing. Not only is his team getting better, but Ganassi will bring in a bunch of new fans and support with the addition of Franchitti. I just wonder if Ashley will get along with Juan's wife.

I think Dario will just do fine, he is driving the ARCA race in 'dega, not the Cup race, he is familiar with a couple of the Cup tracks, like Texas & phx, Michigan, its going be getting adjusted to the big cup cars.. Only time will tell, but he is more patient than JPM....Dario will do fine, he will get some good finishes, depending on how competitive Ganassi racing is next yr, will be the real test...

WAYYYY toooo early to tell. I don't know why dario left Indy for NASCAR, personally, he was doing great in Indy, but he's been in it for a while, but I think that he should have switched to F1. Hopefully it wasn't for the money. He just earned 4 million, this year, and Indy is really increasing their prize money. I dought that it is for the money. I think he's got to get used to the car first. A switch for Indy to champ car or F1 is one thing, but to go from open wheel to stock cars is a whole different story.

Gannasi is on the right track. He has 2 drivers that aren't intimidated by the Nascar elite and as soon as one of them wins a race they will start to strut their stuff!

The more time he gets behind the wheel right away the better off he will be. Only adjusting to the COT will be good for him too, instead of learning 2 cars for 1 year like Montoya has had to do.

Well ,Dario and Juan can battle for supremacy at Ganassi and that will probably be good story and the best story for Chip all 2008.

He has talent. The more talent the better the races. With the COT evening the playing field a bit more talent is what will win more championships.
