I am a recent graduate in the geography and environmental planning field. Meaning, in college I studied maps, environmental hazards/studies, geographic information systems, weather systems, etc...

Right now I am working as a leasing agent at an apartment complex but this is not fulfilling at all.

Where should I look for entry level gis/environmental jobs?

I had one interview that analyzed flood risks (gis---sounded exactly what i want to do) but I could not take time off of work for the interview

Contact your state department of environmental quality and try to gain an entry level position there.

The next time you get an interview, find a way to make it.

It does not seem you really want to work in the environmental field.
