Dan.12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

--IT IS in our understanding the period of time since 1914, IS indeed the special time period that Jesus called "the conclusion of the system of things"

(Matthew 24:3) “3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?””

--JESUS answered in referring to a period of time similar to a woman in pregancy with birth pangs:

(Matthew 24:7-8) “7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a BEGINNING OF PANGS OF DISTRESS.”(my caps)

Commenting on 1914 being a drastic time period--THAT THE WORLD saw as VERY unique, please note:

1914—The Turning Point in History
--30 From the human standpoint, the world troubles and global wars foretold in the Bible were far from the thinking of the pre-1914 world.
-German statesman Konrad Adenauer said: “Thoughts and pictures come to my mind, . . . thoughts from the years before 1914 when there was real peace, quiet and security on this earth—a time when we didn’t know fear. . . . Security and quiet have disappeared from the lives of men since 1914.”
-- People living before 1914 thought that the future “would get better and better,” reported British statesman Harold Macmillan.
--26 The book 1913: America Between Two Worlds notes: “Secretary of State Bryan said [in 1913] that ‘conditions promising world peace were never more favorable than now.’”
----31 So, right up to the very brink of World War I, world leaders were forecasting an age of social progress and enlightenment.
---But the Bible had foretold the opposite—that the unprecedented war of 1914 to 1918 would highlight the beginning of “the last days.” (2 Timothy 3:1) The Bible also provided chronological evidence that 1914 would mark the birth of God’s heavenly Kingdom, to be followed by unprecedented world trouble.28
--But was anyone living back then aware that 1914 would be such a turning point in history?
--32 DECADES BEFORE (my caps)that date, there was an organization of people who were making known the significance of 1914. THE NEW YORK WORLD of August 30, 1914, explains: “The terrific war outbreak in Europe has fulfilled an extraordinary prophecy. For a quarter of a century past, through preachers and through press, the ‘International Bible Students’ [Jehovah’s Witnesses] . . . have been proclaiming to the world that the Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914. ‘Look out for 1914!’ has been the cry of the . . . evangelists.”29
***AND FURTHER on that date being unique dispite world war 2 and the aftermat:
**1914—A TURNING POINT IN HISTORY
-- Even after a second world war, many refer back to 1914 as the great turning point in modern history:
-- “It is indeed the year 1914 rather than that of Hiroshima which marks the turning point in our time.”—René Albrecht-Carrié, The Scientific Monthly, July 1951.
-- “Ever since 1914, everybody conscious of trends in the world has been deeply troubled by what has seemed like a fated and predetermined march toward ever greater disaster. Many serious people have come to feel that nothing can be done to avert the plunge towards ruin. They see the human race, like the hero of a Greek tragedy, driven on by angry gods and no longer the master of fate.”—Bertrand Russell, The New York Times Magazine, September 27, 1953.
***Jehovah's Witnesses have applied the time of the end that Daniel wrote , & that Jesus spoke about to this happening, since 1914:

(Revelation 12:7-9) “. . .And war broke out in heaven: Mi′cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven.
--9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. . .
--”12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME" (my caps)

There are a few ways that this world will end and none of them will be by the hand of an invisible thing that has never existed, have a good look out in space and there could be thousands of large bodies of rocks ( Asteroids ) that if they were on a collision course with this planet could wipe us out , then we have the volcanoes all around the world ,if half of them decided to erupt at the same time then that would be the end any way,as they are a thousand times stronger than any Atomic bomb, and while we are on the subject of the Atomic Bomb ?? If the human race doesn't wake up to itself the nuclear fission that they have invented will blow this planet to pieces anyway and that is what is called do unto others as you would have them do unto you, that is why we have WARS ,so Christians Wake up to your selves and stop pestering others on the righteous ways we should live our lives and believe in some thing that can't help us because it never has existed and never will !!

Reasoning from the Scriptures
When will the end of this wicked world come?
Jesus answered: "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." However, he also stated: "Truly I say to you that this generation [that was alive when "the sign" of "the last days" began its fulfillment] will by no means pass away until all these things occur.'---Matt. 24:36, 34.

Also, after telling of events that would follow the establishment of the Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ in 1914, Revelation 12:12 adds: "Be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME."

We are in that time, where people who are wise and study the bible closely have learned the secrets this well written letter from God tells us. The time is now when the world is lost and wicked yet there is an organization where their members live like Jesus set the example, and they are the purified and those who understand.

The wise are people who can look around at the world and correlate current events with what the bible prophesies. At this point, about the only thing that hasn't been done prior to the end, is the rebuilding of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. And, that may be in the next few years.

The main thing is to accept Christ and have your heart ready, then you have nothing to worry about. Just think, the end of the world for most of us will come when we die. We don't know when that will happen. It may come instantaneously in an accident. It would be too late then to make things right with God. Today is the day we need to ask forgiveness, and accept Jesus as our Savior.

Greetings,
The verse in Daniel means many who are caught up in sin will be purified through the blood of Jesus. And these are Gods chosen people, who have submitted their life to God.They will be purified and they will have to suffer for a little while.
But the Wicked, will continue doing evil and when time goes by, and the day of the Lord comes closer, They won`t understand what is happening around. It is only those people who have reverence for the Lord,Who will understand,The Ways of God.God will give them the Wisdom to Understand.
Peace Be With you.

God told Daniel that what he wrote was meant for the end time, as that is when it will be understood. I think maybe the white relates to those given white robes in Revelation (martyrs). The world will continue as it has but becomes more wicked.
This is the end time!

The vision was sealed until a time in history when it would make sense in the world to man. That time is now. There is little we don't or can't understand with today's technology. The biblical prophecy's are more than 80% fulfilled and more are happening now.
This is the birth pangs before the end times when God will remove His church and the Holy Spirit from the earth. the Age of Grace is about to end and the time or day of judgment is getting closer everyday.
It is time to find your way to Jesus. He is the only one that can save you and He wants to very badly.
Just offer your love to Him and ask Him to lead you in life and He will brighten your day. God Bless.

Only God the Father knows when the end of time will be. We that have studied His word understand. We that have been saved through the blood of Jesus will be purified, and made white. We understand that the end of days will be when The Father tells Jesus to come for us.

M't:25:4: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
M't:25:8: And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
M't:25:9: But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

I believe the wise are those who accept the LORD JESUS CHRIST as their personal LORD and SAVIOR.
