A spiritual person receives “life and peace” in a spiritually fulfilling sense in that he becomes satisfied with a godly life of pleasing his Creator and Maker, the Almighty Jehovah God. If we take another look at the scripture in Romans 8:6, which states,
“For the minding of the flesh means death, but the minding of the spirit means life
and peace;” then one gets to appreciate that it involves putting his trust and hope in God to sustain him while being content with the basic necessities of life and not following his own fleshly desires. A materialistic attitude and view in life must be avoided too in order to receive that satisfying life.
A spiritual minded person must also pray for that peace of God to guard his thoughts and mental powers for him to receive it. (Philippians 4: 6, 7) He also has to read God’s Word the Bible daily and make a real effort to apply its inspired counsel. His faith will be in God’s Kingdom that will bring lasting peace to all obedient mankind. (Matthew 6: 9, 10) In this way, a spiritual person will be able to receive “life and peace” in his life in a spiritual fulfilling way.

This time the KJV has a translation that makes better sense than several other translations:
. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Thus when we are spiritually minded and keep our minds on this , our works on this, our life centered around spiritual things, then we have life and peace.
We have life because we have the hope of eternal life by our holy efforts, and we have immediate peace because we know that we are doing the right thing.

you comprehend, right here in Texas, we've become further and extra like Mexico on a daily basis. Billboards and radio stations are shooting up en espanol extra many times, and once you flow to specific venues and close your eyes, the only language you will pay attention is espanol. the super irony is that my house is an exceedingly short distance from the San Jacinto Battleground, the place Texas independence from Mexico grew to become into fought for and gained. Illegals that are right here could desire to be deported and not allowed returned in. No different u . s . interior the international has open immigration, and the reality that the U. S. has leaders who've lost their minds and authorize such open immigration is frightening to me. Your commentary that the "aim" retains shifting and morphing is astute and painfully actual. regrettably, the respond is all the above. till and till the persons of the U. S. insurrection by contrast impressive difficulty, our u . s . would be lost. Then we will see the advantages of liberty that have been bestowed on us at our u . s .'s founding, withdrawn and lost. unhappy days...

My translation says that "the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." I guess it is saying that you receive peace in knowing that God is in control of you life and that because of your faith you will receive eternal life. Whereas all the sinful man has too look forward to is death.

Well we are all dead in trespasses and sins.
All people are souls with bodies.
The spirit is like the life in and of the soul -
when a person comes to faith he or she is made alive
in Christ
Who is the Prince of Peace - not the Peace of this world
Colossians 2
12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
1 Corinthians 15
21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Isaiah 9
6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
John 14
26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
