The bible teaches that man's sin - Adam's disobedience- brought about a curse upon ALL of creation. So the effects of sin are spread throughout the universe, although we know and see and are part of only what we experience here on earth.

Because sin cannot enter in to Heaven and Hell is the place set aside for the PUNISHMENT of sin!
