What are the central tenets of atheism, and if they have a "greatest commandment," what is it? For example, arguably, Christianity's is "Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself."

you make the common mistake of most believers in thinking that atheism is a religion unto itself. That is simply not true. The only commonality between atheists is lack of belief in a deity...that's all. For me, the most influential author in my life has been both Aleistair Crowley and Anton LaVey. Then again, I am an atheist with an actual religion.

There are no "tenets" of atheism. It is NOT a religion or a belief system. Atheism is simply the lack of a belief in a god. We're not into the commandments stuff. First of all, where would they come from? We don't have a central guy in the sky who's in charge.
Honestly, how many times are people going to ask this kind of thing. Don't you get it yet?

There is no central tenets, authority or anything else. Atheists just don't believe that there is a god or any gods.

A common Christian mistake is to assume that a set of people like atheists or gays are an organized group with an agenda and leaders etc. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

There are none.

Atheism is the belief that there is no evidence for the existence of any gods. No more, no less.

As of course you know Kyle. Except that you like to put words into peoples mouths and falsly accredit tham with beliefs that they do not have.

I think "There is no God" is just about it. Atheism is not a unified group with a mission, it's several people who happen to have this one belief in common.

Atheism is not a belief system. It's a rejection of the idea of gods.
