Look men, please help me understand you. Now I know not all guys are like this, but I know some who are and so please advise: What if you meet a woman you're really attracted to and you get friendly with her over a period of months and then you realise that she too is attracted to you! This is where your 'fear' seems to start. Then you 'get together' you know have a kiss. She's NOT coming on too strong. You really like her but you kind of act really casual even if she asks to meet you again, you can't give a direct answer. You keep contacting her by the way but sort of 'friendly' as opposed to heavy love affair. Are you in shock? Please explain this! Are you afraid of love?

That percentage of men u r talking about might like to take it slow before deciding to fall in love or not .. so when suddenly the women they're dating start to get attracted to them they freak out cuz it feels way too soon for them

Or .. a man might not be sure that this woman is "the one"

Or .. players

NO man is afraid of love, only rejection. If he isn't SURE about your intentions, he will be distant. He might be looking for a serious relationship, and might think you aren't ready. Maybe he wants a fling, and you want a relationship (we can tell). Just come out and tell him what your intentions are. Being straight forward will shock almost all men, especially coming from a woman, but it is not a bad thing at all. Just let him know what you want; he will respect that.

No just uncertain , as rejection hurts , better not to love than suffer the pains of failure. It is not the love we feel but the body that has to interpret its message .

guess a lot of us are basically insecure
we want to be the positive mach type, but deep down we're afraid of being turned down, or of having our feelings misinterpreted (never could spell that one)

no, we arent afraid of love, were afraid (generally) of rejection, and sex, which will if it all goes ****, will ruin a good friendship...

yeah, we all want to get into your knickers, just that some of us realise sex isnt the be all and end all of a relationship...
