Your white colored tongue is most likely due to the smoking, and a slightly yellow discoloration on the tops of your eyes is hardly indicative of liver problems when it is the only symptom. Is there something you are not disclosing to the Doctors as to why you believe something may be wrong with your liver? If you have been to 9 Doctors in a month, then I am quite sure that they have drawn liver enzymes on you? The blood tests for liver enzymes is AST(SGOT),ALT,and if these were normal than I would think your liver is ok. Do you have a specific reason to believe this other than your tongue and eyes? If you are very tired, your metabolism is probobly low because of your iron, keep taking the supplements, and doing what you are doing and see if it improves. Good luck!

you're still young and quite active. You have the right to know what is the status of your health. Do quit smoking. I know its difficult at start but i believe you will succeed since you are now concerned about your health.

The liver can really take a beating up to a point. if you don't want to go to a doctor, try visiting a local red cross chapter, be a blood donor (for free) they can run a test for hepatitis (liver inflammation), and other blood exams. That test can determine if you have a virus infection attacking your liver. Being a donor as well will be useful in the future in case of emergencies where you might need an immediate blood transfusion.

try looking for a food supplement that targets the liver or aids in making the liver more healthy. These are not medicines, so don't expect for therapeutic effects. These are to provide for what is missing in your diet.

Since you're already making moves about your health then do not be afraid to research a little about the liver and how to keep it healthy. You are right, the yellowish discoloration is related to liver function. Do not self medicated. ask a doctor first.

I know you do not want to hear this but please quit smoking..

Now.. I am not sure I have all the answers... But I do have a few questions.. Have you been checked for diabetes??? That will make you really tired and cause other issues with your body.. If you know someone that can check your sugar for you have it done.. If not request it at the doctor.. Also you may want to have your thyroid levels checked....
Here are a few blood tests that you need to see if they are done.. CBC.. Lipid.. T3.. T4... TSH... Liver Panel..

ONe of these may show something..Hope you feel better soon..

Go back to doctors but usually any yellowing in the eyes is because of jaundice (to much bile in the gallbladder) I had that because of gallstones or a high billirubin count that comes from the liver BUT check with doctor.

as regards your tongue ignore it if it is a problem the doctors will pick it up. the yellow at the top of your eyes might mean that you might have i problem with your kidneys (infection) try and drink alot of water. and cols is the worse drink you can ever drink as it can affect your Gaul bladder which is attached to your stomach if any more problems e-mail me judithtrussell@yahoo.co.uk
