YOu might have bacteria in your skin that is causing the acne. Start a regimine. Every morning wash your face with a medicated face wash with either salycic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Then use a light oil free facial moisterizer so your face doesn't get dry and create more oil. And always make sure you wash your face before bed. You can always use a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide at night, put a thin layer on the problem areas. Hope this helps.

Acne cannot be cured by water. It's a medical problem, and your doctor can help you get rid of it. If you don't want to go to the doctor, you can try this, and it works. I got it out of the book that was written by the doctors who make ProActive. I'm sure over the last couple years I've modified my routine a little from the book, but following this made both me and my husband's skin clear up.

1. Wash your face with 2% salicylic acid cleanser, like Neutrogena Oil-Free Wash. Salicyic acid helps your skin cells turn over and stops bacteria from settling in your pores and causing breakouts.
2. Put 10% benzoyl peroxide cream on your face in the evening. The peroxide kills the bacteria in acne. (Like Clearasil)
3. Use a moisturizer with glycolic acid in it in the mornings. They make the creams with sunscreen now too. Glycolic acid does basically the same thing salicylic acid does, but it's a little bit different chemical. I use AHA, which is found at CVS, Ulta and sometimes Kroger. It's about ten bucks.

If your skin gets irritated or too dry, you'll have to experiment with using the peroxide less, more moisturizer, etc. to make it work for you.
I think originally I was using more products, but following this routine has worked for a long time for us, and it's cheaper than ProActive and the dermatologist. It takes about a month to start seeing good results, so be patient.

Perhaps it's something a dermotologist needs to address.

being hydrated may not be your problem with your skin...you should prolly see a dermatologist, maybe they can prescribe something for you.
Good luck!
