Yes, it is related to hayfever. Are you only allergic to these fruits when they are raw? You may have oral allergy syndrome. I used to have it also. I was allergic to nearly all raw fruits and vegetables. Just getting the juice on my skin made me break out in a rash. After being on allergy desensitation shots for five years, my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables went away.

It is most definitely an allergy, and the best way to avoid taking medications for this is to avoid eating them. It may not be the fruit itself, but the pesticide and preservatives that are coated on them and penetrate into the fruit.

At some point, if you continue to eat these fruits even though your body is adverse to them, the allergic reactions will get stronger and possibly to the extent that it may prove life-threatening. Your airways will swell up to the point that it cuts off your oxygen supply. It's call anaphylaxis. For that, you'll wind up going to the ER and they will put you on epinephrine (adrenaline). If you go to an allergist, they can test you to see all the things that you may be allergic to, and give you certain medications to take, but if you don't want to go that route, then avoid eating things that don't agree with you.

It sounds like an allergy. If you suffer from eczema you're more likely to have allergies. Same for asthma.

My son has both eczema and asthma and he's allergic to nuts.

You can ask your doctor to send you for tests at an allergy clinic if you want to know what's going on.
