Being away from parents and with different age children the children might not feel homely so how to make them feel at home? How to give individual attention when there are 60 children? I them very much.

By mistake I said homely. What I meant to say was feel at home. . . .

firstly, you are to be praised since you have devoted yourself to caring for them. kids need time and fair treatment. don't play favourites. praise them in public and correct them in private. listen to all their views and answer them individually, don't tell them that everything is fine and they are mistaken and don't know what they are talking about. children feel intimidated if they are singled out as bad examples. believe them when they say they are being bullied or threatened by other kids. be very alert to children's changed behaviour since there maybe a problem you have not been told about. I am sure money is an issue, so plan get-togethers and picnics within the compound, even having their meals out in the compound will add variety to their lives, organise singing and painting competitions and have a guest speaker come and tell them encouraging and inspirational talks. quality of time should be more important and not how many hours you spend with them.

you can show love by hugging, touching a hand on a shoulder a pat on the back goes a long way, letting them know that they are important, that they matter, and that their thoughts and feelings are valid, and their ideas are great! Likely with 60 children you cannot give them enough attention, really 24 hrs in a day you need at least 6 to sleep brining you to 18hrs left, somewhere in there you need to eat an dtend to your own needs as well.

Accept for who and what they are.

***Raj... never once did she say she was a parent, by her question it is safe to assume that she is working or volunteering in an orphanage or a child care setting. Obvioulsy by law she is not alone with 60 children and nobody baby"seats" 60 children at one time.

Wow - 60 kids? I have trouble with 3!!

Homely has a negative meaning in the U.S. - ugly
In British English it means "to feel at home"

Perhaps you could comment on something special about each one each day? Like compliment them in front of the group. You could get through 60 in 2 months, and then start over again.

Hi dimple.........nice question but not used by parents. i think you are baby seater....well about home feeling, you may have some function with there parents on weekend. You can also make an atmospher at your home as like there own. By this they will never feel any difference in there own home and your one.
