I believe that these are only the last days if the extreme Christians succeed in making them so. They are so focused on the next world that this world is neglected. There are things that need to be done NOW in order to preserve this world. If they are wrong (and there is always that possibility no matter how sure they feel) then it is our children and grandchildren who will be the ones to suffer the consequences of the actions of the current generations.

To me, it seems that the sentiment among a growing number of Christians is that: "It doesn't matter what happens to this world as I'm going to heaven", or: "The quicker this world is destroyed then the quicker judgement day will come and I'll have my perfect life". These sentiments do not reflect well on the people who have them. They seem to want to leave things to their god to make anew, rather than trying to preserve the world for their children.

The "world" of wicked mankind is, not the literal planet earth. Just as in Noah's day, the flood only destroyed the wicked individuals who would not adhere to the 130 years that Noah preached to them about their violent, wicked, and depraved lives. They laughed at Noah. Sadly, when the day came only 8 righteous individuals lived. This is a warning for us today. If people live by God's expectations and turn their lives around to rely on his Kingdom that will bring an end to all the wickedness, suffering and death that we now have, they will survive God's great war of Armageddon. There will be righteous individuals who will then live on a paradise earth that God himself originally intended. The rest will be destroyed along with Satan who crafted this wicked world in the first place. So the world of wicked mankind is coming to an end, but not for the righteous ones who listen and obey God's word from the Bible.

Yes it is, only a complete blind fool would say other wise. I am excited, and a little scared. I have many lost in my family who know they are living a life of sin and filth, but just are not ready to make a commitment. I think it increadable to see Gods word coming true and being fulfilled in my lifetime right before my eyes.

A little of scared and excited. I'm trying to be ready, but I feel badly for those who may not be ready when it's time. What;s REALLY scary is banking on the hope of being alive when it happens! What of those who die in their sins BEFORE then?

I'm all for making this a better place for our children and their children... re: cleaning up the planet earth, or Have we let it go to far already, Who knows!
The most important thing is be ready, we are all God's Children, so help bring more people to Christ,,, family, freinds, even your enemy, and won't we be surprised when the Lord does come and take us,and yes clean up this world we live in. I have my house in order, and hope you all do to.

I'll just say this: There is not one prophecy left in the Bible to be fullfilled that pertains to the rapture, or the end times to start. I don't know what's holding God up, but I sure wish He'd hurry up!

People have been trying to predict the end of the world forever. Funny, they keep pushing back the date. I think we're fine!
