In the lower stages of culture all dreams were regarded as objectively real experiences; a god or spirit actually visited the dreamer, the events dreamed actually occurred.
Hence anyone subject to frequent dreaming was regarded as a special Medium of divine energy, and many sought to produce the state by artificial means such as fasting or drugs.
Later dreams came to be treated rather as divine warnings than an actual occurrences.

Aso the point emerges.
If being psychic is wrong (False Prophets)
then why wasn't the entire Human race wipped out for being Psychic?
Everyone dreams, if you don't dream you go nutty.
How would you answer this question, Huh?
As some of you Christians know I ask this in the utmost respect.

For those of you who say Prophets are not Psychic think again Nostradamus was a Prophet and he was a Psychic.

Yes we all dream But not all dreams are from God. Dreams come from our own subconscious

My opinion on "false prophets":
"False Prophets" are not psychics; they are the people who fake wisdom. (like me)

Being psychic is not "wrong" because a real psychic (if there is such a thing) would not be able to help it.

IMHO drugs do not make anyone "psychic"; they make them "psychotic." Either you have the gift of prophesy or you don't.

It can probably be acquired by contemplation of God and achieving Oneness with Him, but not by any other means.

In this age, there are one or two real prophets, who have the genuine gift of prophesy while others fake it. Almost everyone (like me) can throw random words like "Oneness" to sound wise.

Also IMHO, the dreams can be prophetic (if you have the gift) or they can be the reflections of desires you hold in your heart.

A) False prophecy has nothing to do with psychic ability. A prophet, properly called, is one chosen by God to give a message to mankind. Most often that message is, "Straighten up and fly right or I'm gonna get down and dirty on you kids!" Or, "This is the last time I'm going to tell you kids for the last time! BEHAVE!". Occasionally, far in the past, a prophet was selected to alert the populace what to look for in His Son's coming to make sure we got the right person. That's happened, so any new prophetic utterances concerning Himself are false and those making them are false prophets.

B) To be in the image of God, humanity MUST have His attributes on a human level. Since God is omniscient; we must have more ways of knowing than a library card and a computer. Thus, ESP. Since God is omnipotent; humanity MUST have more ways of doing than just muscle power and machinery, thus PK.

C) Got the difference now? Hope so.

Linking the dreams with psychic powers appears stretching the linkage too much. Are they not two different phenomena ? Also false prophets have dominated the world in good numbers always.

All prophets are false.
Prognostication is impossible. There isn't a shred of evidence suggesting anyone can do such a thing.
The James Randi foundation has 1 million dollars sitting there, waiting for ANYONE who can prove, under controlled environment, their "powers".
The money's been untouched for over 20 years.
And the interest goes to promising kids all over the US in the form of bursaries and grants for education.
