It is more likely to be an allergy but to be sure you should be tested for an infection (which more often than not you can develop without having sex). Both are easily treatable, although you might consider taking pills in order to have a cat a bit too much.

Oh dear doesnt sound to good does it? I'd hate it if you were allergic to cats, cause they're such wonderful pets. You may be allergic to fleas and that may be what your reacting to. I use resolution on my cats to get rid of fleas, and it really works. B4 I started using revolution I used to get very itcy from fleas. You can get revolution from the vet or a pet store. This stuff is fantastic I think you should give it a try.
