Obviously if Islam can co-exist with Christians and Jews in the HOME then outside the home would be even easier !

Islam encourages Muslims to live in peaceful co-existance around non Muslims so others can see the Islamic way of life.

FORCED CONVERSIONS would make everyones test NULL and VOID , therefore by definition it is Impossible for Muslims to spread Islam by force.

Surely they, also, ought to be able to marry outside of their faith?

Tell us, also, if a muslim man marries a non-muslim woman, and he wishes to convert to her faith, would that be O.K.??

Because, unless he can, then obviously, Islam can NOT co-exist with Christians and Jews in the HOME...

Unless this grand "freedom" you're talking about exists on BOTH sides, then it is no freedom at all, and Islam is STILL a religion of submission by force, even if you are not mistaken in what you are telling us.

in regards to your questions asked, i hope you dont mind me answering a few, breifly.

- muslims whether a muslim girl or be it a boy are not allowed to speak to the opposite gender unless it is work/business/important issue related, even then they are only to speak in a area where there are other people around ie: not being alone in one room. so in a nutshell a muslim girl would not be able to speak to even a muslim boy unless the male is her father, brother, husband, son etc...and vice versa, this is soo one does not risk falling into anything (wrong doing as such) that is disliked in islam.
Daily livelhood can still be achieved even when observing this practice.

-this is the individuals choice and one can only try to guide him back, muslims would strongly give him advice not too. Muslims believe very strongly about their faith Islam. if you knew what was GOOD for your child, then you would definetly as a parent/elder try to guide your child towards the correct path, similarly muslims believe that islam is perfect, and fault less, hence why we would advise him strongly and help him back to the straigh path cause of our beleif.

You then go on to mention about coexisting.... dear freind, i urge you to do a little reading on the history of islam, and you will come to see how beautiful islam is towards others.

while the media love portraying the bad aspects of islam, they seem to forget the goodness within this religion, Islam, quran and hadiths all tell us how to love eavryone, regardless of faith/religion, did you know that when the jews were being pursecuted by the christians, they turned to seek refuge with Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), because they knew how nice of a man he was, the beloved prophet had given them shelter and protection, jews and christians used to also leave thier properties and wealth with Mohammad (pbuh) cause they trusted this man sooo much, that is the love they had and even today, muslims help one another..and if you look around you will notice there are numorous churches in muslim countries still to this day.
- so can you still say we dont try to coexist?

and finally we as muslim cannot force one into a religion, it will be nullified, and bottom line is it wont be accepted, so when all muslims know that, why would we??
islam is based higly on ones intention, so if the heart does not accept it, what good would that be?

wow thank you for posting this, many people don't see that we are not allowed to convert ppl by force! and this shows it very nicely =)

Sorry, mate, I don't understand the question. I'm with you on the bit about conversion being a matter of choice (I personally think that it is everybody's choice whether to believe in god or not, regardless of denomination), but what 's the wife of a muslim got to do with anything - surely she would be a muslim too?
