No! A policeman is a policeman no matter what religion he or the victim is. I bet the policeman would have no problems arresting a muslim man - all part of the job.

No. We are all trying to 'get by' in this world. I believe that the role of a policeman is to serve and protect. You should lead by example.
Just because a person has a distorted world view or is otherwise mentally compromised, does not mean an officer should not help them. One of the victims of bigotry is the person with that holds that unrealistic perspective on the world.
Why should you stoop to the level of the other person? As a police officier, you should represent a high ideal that does not allow yourself to become a bigot.

I'm not a policeman but I'm gay and I meet Muslim guys frequently in the neighborhood where I have my work unit, If I saw any one of them in trouble I would help as much as I could even though I know their religious beliefs probably make them anti-gay...it's mostly not their fault they are caught up in that anti-gay religious culture by accident of their birth.

If it is even a possibility of an issue, he needs to quit his job. A policeman doesn't get to choose who he helps. It is part of his job. If he would even think of not helping based on those grounds, he is not qualified to fill that position.

He has the ability, not the right. He gave up that right when he became a police officer. They are government employees and that means they are secular. If they refuse to help, then they could lose their job, and possibly face prosecution (or a civil suit at the least).
