The dad. Is he paying but not living with you?

Break it down: You're a resident parent (you live there). If he doesn't, he's the nonresident parent.

Non resident parent is the father of the child that is not living with you and they are asking if he is giving you any money to support your child.

i take it you are the mother if the father of your baby is not living with you he is the non resident parent. as you claim income support they want to know if the father is paying maintenance if so you have to declare this and tell them how much so they can deduct that amount from what they pay you. for example say you receive 60 pounds of social and you get 20 pounds of the father the social will then only pay you 40 pounds.

A non resedent parent is the child biological parent, who is alive, but does not live with them. For example a single mother's child will have a non resedent father or vice versa. What they want to know is does the child's other biological parent live with you and if not are you receiving child maintanance from them, as it is the law that they pay it.

They want to know if your childs father and you live together and if not then is he paying child support. I assume this is for some sort of aid that is income contingent.
