why do they worship the Bible?

They don't worship the bible? My goodness! And all these years I thought.....
And it's just as annoying and unfair to be accused of worshipping the Pope, and worshipping Mary and worshipping saints!

They dont worship the Bible. They worship the God who authored it. The Bible is the place where we learn about Gods dealings with mankind, His plan to redeem us from the penalty and power of sin, where we will reside when all the smoke settles , and what our NEW identity is being members of His BODY.
I am a fundamentalist believer who rightly divides...that is I make the distinctions that God makes with regard to there being MORE than one "gospel" mentioned in the Bible and they arent the same.
There is the gospel of the Circumcision= Law of Moses
There is the gospel of the UNcircumcision= Paul
One is Judaism and One is Christianity.
ONLY the Bible tells you the difference between the two, so that people arent preaching the wrong jesus and the wrong gospel.

Yes of course! Because Jesus is the Living Word and The Bible is the Written Word.
They do not worship the Bible and that is the reason why the original manuscripts were gone. God knew some groups would worship the creation more than the Creator.
The Bible is God's love letter to us. You can find all what you need for your life. It is our map and GPS here on Earth.
2Timothy 3
15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Bible fundamentalists are believers. They do not worship the Bible BUT the author of the Bible- God Almighty. God's Word is flawless and must be upheld. Jesus said if you love me , you will obey my commands. What are His commands?? The only way to find out what His commands are you need to read, study and understand the scriptures so that you will not be mislead by false teachers.

It depends on the contents of their hearts. Do they use the bible as a reason to be hard hearted and justify their current way of doing things? Or do they follow the bible as a reason to get to know Jesus?
If the former, probably not. If the latter, probably yes.

In all seriousness, Christianity is a PERSONAL relationship with the Creator of life. You can't lump a group together and ask "are they christian"?
I, by societies terms, am a "fundamental christian". Legalism doesn't make you a christian, and neither does being a certain religion.
The only thing that makes you a Christian is knowng that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He lived and died to take our sin debt and pay it in full, and that He resurrected from the dead and is building a house for us in heaven as we speak, and getting ready to come back for us at any time!
We will be VERY surprised when we die to find out who is in heaven and who is not!
I just ask that you, for your own sake, don't lump a group of people together and judge, we call that racism in America!
When the Father of Creation judges, it's on an individual basis, not a group.

Th Bible is the imaginary work of the people who authored it, it is not the word of God.
Bible Fundamentalist is a good descriptive name for those who are that.
