Been with my boyfriend nearly 5 years, it hasn't been perfect....AT ALL, but thins are alright now so why did I dream about kissing another guy last night? Didn't know who he was but why would I dream about kissing someone else???

Deep down you may be discontent with your boy friend. Some imperfection may trigger why you dream about it. It does not have to be right away. Things that are not going way can store in subconscious mind and kissing another guy is a way to release some argument you may have.
Also, this other guy may not have to be real. it is just symbol of what you are looking for. More caring, and understanding. Perhaps, you boy friend somehow didn't give you enough and that is why subconsciously projected another guy to satisfy your need. In translaton, you want more from your boy friend.

Not all dreams are a result of an emotional or spiritual source. Some are just the result of hormonal or chemical changes. If you keep having them over a long period of time then perhaps it's something emotional going on.

The dream does not necessarily have to relate to your conscious world. It probably is just a fragment without any relevance to your relationship. Every dream is not significant and in fact many are just from mind clutter.

You are still referring back to all of the hard times you've had with him. You simply can't get over the fact it wasn't easy for you. Give it a little while longer and if nothing changes tell him its time to end the relationship. Best of luck!
