Jesus is not a prophet in Islam, and he is not just one of the deliverer's of messages to and from God. I would recommend that you read the whole New Testament, and I will specially point out to you John 1:1 and the rest of that chapter.
Please refrain from making the kind of statements that you made in forming your question (denying the divinity of Jesus) since it is considered blasphemy among us Christians.
Thank you!

That is maybe some hadith, or what the mullahs at your mosque have taught you. Based on teachings of mohammed 650 years on from the time of Jesus.
The New Testament tells a complete different picture. Jesus often used the title 'Son of God' for Himself as well as 'Son of Man' (the new Adam). And at times made it very clear He was actually God incarnated in human form (eg John 8:58, John 20:28). The key reason He came -to provide forgiveness of sins - would not be possible if He wasn't God incarnated as sinful humans cannot pay for each others sin, let alone their own. It is true Mohammedan scholars have tried to make out the New Testament is corrupt.
However how can the Koran be God's revelation? Mohammed did put a lot of people to death who would not accept his claims (although most were opposing his trying to rule over them). He also never read the Bible, and never bothered having it read to him - there are references to angels pretending to be God's angels to deceive and so on. Also the pre-conversion Paul was very like Mohammed in character - mohammed with the grace of God would have repented of his violence and believed on jesus for his salvation had he had Acts read to him (and with lots of grace; it would have been humbling for him to repent though).

Because Jesus said "I and my Father are one" He is saying he is the same as God. What people don't understand is there are 2 realms in the bible, a flesh and spiritual. Jesus is the SON of God according to the flesh because the flesh was a creation of God but in the spirit he is God. The bible says God is a spirit, a spirit is not body or flesh. The book of Isaiah talks about God as being the savior and that there is no savior but God alone. So if God was to come and be the Savior that means he needed flesh to dwell in. His disciples understood this fact and knew who he was according to the gospel of Luke 24. This is why people call Jesus God because his body was the flesh that God resided inside. Just the same that God came to Moses in a burning bush or by a cloud and fire and through many other methods, he also came through flesh and that flesh is called Jesus. That is why we are told to do everything in the name of Jesus because the name of God is Jesus. The reason, God isn't a name its more of a title. A spirit can not have a name. It needs a body and flesh and blood to have a name. When God placed his spirit inside that flesh, his name became Jesus. According to the bible Jesus NEVER shouted that he was not God. I know what the Qur'an teaches. I have a degree in islamic relations. The Qur'an teaches the bible is incorrect and that the Qur'an is the only correct book. So I am basing my opinion solely on the bible. You asked why people call him God and I can not answer that using the Qur'an but I can answer that using the bible. Hope that helps :)

muslim time start from ur prophet come. It was 600 years after Jesus time. How come you said Jesus is muslim?
9:18 One day when Jesus was praying alone, the disciples came to him. "Who do the crowds say I am?" he asked them.
9:19 "Some say that you are John the Baptist," they answered. "Others say that you are Elijah, while others say that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life."
9:20 "What about you?" he asked them. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are God's Messiah."
9:21 Then Jesus gave them strict orders not to tell this to anyone.
9:22 He also told them, "The Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law. He will be put to death, but three days later he will be raised to life."
9:23 And he said to them all, "If anyone wants to come with me, he must forget himself, take up his cross every day, and follow me.
9:24 For whoever wants to save his own life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
9:25 Will a person gain anything if he wins the whole world but is himself lost or defeated? Of course not

I agree with you. For all those who are ignorant, read this. The word Muslim means one who has surrendered to Allah. In Hebrew language God is called Alah. All those who surrender to the Will of Allah, the one and only God are Muslims. The Jewish pilgrims recognised Mohammad (SM, PBUH) as a Messiah and invited him to Yathrib (now Madina). His mention was there by Issa/Jesus (PBUH). How could they read the signs if earlier Prophets did not mention about his coming? It is the Will of Allah that his servants pronounce "There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is His Prophet". Once you believe that then you believe in all the Prophets (PBUT) of Allah. AND THEY INDEED WERE MUSLIM WHO SURRENDERED TO THE WILL OF ALLAH. Hope that would enlighten the precious souls created by HIM.

Jesus was born hundreds of years before Mohamed and Christianity long before Islam, so Jesus was not Muslim.

Jesus is not a descendent of Hagar and Abraham. He is a descendant of Sarah and Abraham. Jesus is Jewish not Muslim. Both Issac and Ishmael worshiped the God of Abraham. They are the same God. Get your facts straight.

Jesus is a Jew.
Try reading History.
Islam is founded on 622 AD.
That's 622 years after Jesus.
That's 622 years after Christianity was founded by Jesus.
How can that be possible?

That is an anachronism...
Jesus was born and lived and died about 600 years before Islam was even invented....About 550 years before Mohammed was even born...
