Oy...Now really, what "sin" did adam and eve commit? The original sin thing is just a guilt trip created by christian beliefs that is meant to induce people to do penance for this silly presentation. Penance is a metaphor for financial contribution. Get it?

Adam and Eve were in an eternal state of innocence in the Garden. They could not have children in this state nor progress. When they ate of the apple that was forbidden, they committed a sin. However, by doing this, they were cast out and made mortal. We pay for their sin, if you would, by being able to be born and have our chance at earth life. This was all part of God's plan.

The scriptures say, "Adam fell that man may be. Men are that they might have joy."

Not a bad punishment, don't you think?

No no no, that is NOT how it works. As a result of Adam and Eve, people now have a sinful NATURE. We are punished for our OWN sins, not anyone else's.

well to say it bluntly,
let god decide whether the sin committed by a person's grandparents is big enough for that person to be punished.
we as humans can only give punishment to a person for his own sins , leave the ancestors to god.

What is sin they committed? It is all symbolic.God will never punish people who are not guilty. The forebidden tree and fruit may be symbolic. It may be the 'discovery of sex" by marooned Adam and Eve.Only Christian philosophy teach man/or woman as bourn sinners.I do not think Jesus called all human being as sinners. The concept of original sin might have been created by the church.

We have neither the authority nor command to judge others.

That is not to say that law-breakers should not be punished for their crimes. Breaking the law is determined by a judge or jury, along with a sentence. But human laws and their consequences are different from sins and their consequences as defined by God. You really are comparing apples and oranges when you try to justify the rational of one on the other.

On the contrary, we are to love one another, and spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You fail to grasp the concept of representation. Adam and Eve represented us. If they obeyed, we would enjoy the benefits of their obedience. If your parents do well, you inherit the monetary benefits! If the President of King chooses poorly, you go to war and you die.

Divine justice dictated this. It wasn't just the sin, other issues were raised as well. It would take time to resolve those issues.
