I heard her growling and when I went to see why I saw her dead mangled puppies and when she seen me she acted happy like there was nothing wrong!

Her hormones got messed up and confused her. This can be brought on by stress, as in having the pups in an area that is too busy, or a male dog or a cat around.
It is much like a human post-partum depression. Just messed up hormones.
Yes, a dog will eat an offspring if it is ill, but this isn't the case when they destroy an entire litter.
However, once a dog does that, she will do it in the future, so it wouldn't be wise to breed her again. Also, the trait can be passed on if you do manage to raise some by hand feeding.
This is a very common trait in some breeds, more than others. Rottweilers and Dobermans are especially prone to that.

HI
I am so sorry to hear You lost your pups in such a gruesome Way Poor babies
I am going to have to agree with Rudi A.
I am going to assume you maybe treat her as a spoiled baby as do we all and when the pups came maybe you Fussed a bit to much over them and she thought OH Wow they are going to get all of my attention and so he did all she figured she could to put that to a stop and dispose of them and when she seen Mom come in Yes she was excited like Mom take me into your arms I no longer have to remain locked in here with them they are gone so we can again be together all the time
That is why when I have a litter I will put them in a Pack & Play (Small Play Pen) and I will put them next to our bed as to let Mom know she is not being neglected as I severly spoil all my Pups (Poms & Yorkies)
I hope My Explination makes sence to you
Again I am so sorry about your pups but I would not Breed this particular Pup again
Take Care

Take the mummy and puppies to the vet. you at the instant are not likely to get any help on yahoo solutions. Make an appointment to your female to get fixed as quickly because of the fact the puppies are weaned. you shouldn't breed till you're a professional breeder. There are adequate undesirable, poorly bred dogs in shelters.

some dogs just do not make good mothers. There could have been something wrong with the pups. Or it could be that it was her first litter, and she was confused, or veiwed them as prey because of how tiny they are.

Please have her spayed, more than likely, she will do the same to the next litter.

Yikes that's frightening. Not sure why you let her breed when there's so many pets in shelters. Had a vet looked at the puppies yet? It could be there was something wrong with them and instinct took over for the mom.

My poodle killed one of her pups because it was
the only one that was a different color;champagne,
and the others were white. Maybe your dogs last
litter was different to her than the litter in the past
and she felt a threat, or if it was her first litter then
maybe she still felt that threat and got rid of them.
In the future if it happens again then a vet would
give you a more professional opinion as to why.

As with most animals, if there is something wrong with the babies, then the mother will kill them. I have heard of this happen many times.

Yeah, maybe they had some kind of illness or something and the mom knew it so she got rid of 'em, =\ Sad

She may have been scared. Was it her first litter? I would not reccomend her having more pups.
