Do they think it's a choice? And don't say because the Bible says so. God is supposed to love everybody, so, why did he create homosexual people? So, he would have someone to hate?

Ok, so if it's supposedly a choice, why do a lot of homosexuals stay in the closet, miserably I might add, because they are afraid of being judged. If it were a choice, why wouldn't the gay people just remain heterosexual. Actually, go ask 10 gay people whether they were born gay, or they chose to be gay.

Oh, and I do believe most murderers and pedophiles are created at birth. Some of it may be from their atmosphere, but if you're insane, that's pretty much it.

Because some christians dont know the true essence of being a christian.

Hate the sin not the sinner.

Some of them think they have trully understood the bible from their own interpretations and bible studies. But they don't really understand what they are reading.
They are so confident in using the bible when they themselve don't have the license to do so.
How can someone know medicine just reading medical book and performing medical procedures without license.
In knowing the bible one needs the right teacher.
This is whats wrong with biblical based christians. They don't have the teacher. They just read the bible without guidance.

Yes, Christians should accept gays. Jesus was the most radical figure in history. He overthrew the self-righteous pharisees; and spent his time with tax collectors, prostitutes, and Gentiles. He made it quite clear that everyone should love, not hate. So even if Christians don't like everything that gays do, it is not their place to judge. As a matter of fact, Christians sin just as much as anybody else (Anybody who says otherwise is lying, which is a sin.). In short, save the judging for God. For anybody that thinks that they are qualified to judge others for God, or to give lectures about what God does and does not approve of, I dare you to read Matthew 23...I DARE you!

Yes, it is because they think it is choice.

Why anyone would choose that lifestyle is beyone me - it must be a miserable one with all the ostracism, comtempt, abuse, and hatred that homosexuals endure.

What I don't understand is why evangelical Christians put so much emphasis on this one "sin" while ignoring the hundreds of other ones mentioned in the Bible.

And I can't believe someone on here equated homosexuality with rape and murder!

Romans 1:26-27,32 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Oh see, they have a divine power that enables them to hate the act of homosexuality and chastise everything homosexuals stand for while still loving said sinner without judgment. God, get a bible!!

God made man and woman and told them to be fruitful and multiply. Marriage is a sacrament before God so that the union between the man and woman is blessed. A child is a physical manifiestation of a spiritual truth-the two shall become one. Homosexuality is a lie put forth by Satan. Satan seeks to kill, steal and destroy humans. The Bible says homosexuals will pay for this sin in their own body. Life expectancy rates in this country for homosexuals are 20 years below the national norm. It is unnatural and disordered lust of the flesh. Christians are supposed to live via the Holy Spirit which resides in them. Your body is the Temple of God. Homosexuality is a choice. It is learned behavior. Homosexuals want to make it a civil rights issue (which it is not) by saying they are born that way so as to absolve themselves of guilt. God made us to live in perfect bliss on this Earth to have fellowship with Him. All imperfections and discord come from Satan and our decision to follow our own ways instead of God's. Look at what it has cost us. Read Romans chapter 1 verses 19-32.

Quit blaming God for your bad behavior and sinful choices.

Christians are not permitted to accept openly sinful behavior by anyone ... homosexual or otherwise ... because bad behavior tends to lead others into sin, and that leads to the ruin of souls.

Homosexuals (or anyone) who openly proclaims their immoral and seriously disordered choices should not expect acceptance from those who know better, and who respect God.

It's that simple.

Like most people, they fear something they don't understand. I don't care if it is choice or not, the fact that there are some people who practice this is enough for me to realize that it is going on. I try to mind my own business.
