Yeah he did but it wasnt a real test. And as for jeff being close to montoyas times. Get real people! The idiots here who try to make out that F1 is easy always amaze me. He was 1.3 seconds off montoyas time that day and Montoya was only 1.1 seconds off Gordons shakedown lap in the stock car. Montoya was only cruising around the circuit. As a matter of fact he was 7 seconds slower than the pole position time the previous year!! 7 SECONDS SLOWER!! 7 seconds is an eternity in F1.

Real close to montoyas time...that said i think jeff is a class act and he would be a great driver no matter what he drove.

Montoya is bound to be able to get used to a stock car quicker than a NASCAR driver would get used to an F1. F1 drivers have driven vehicles like stocks before. Nothing on earth is like an F1 car. It would take a huge amount of testing time before a nascar driver would be able to set competitive times.

And jamie G...he said it was one of the most amazing experiences of his life. I very much doubt he didnt like it.

Gordon and Montoya swapped and tested cars as Indianapolis Motor Speedway in June 2003.

Gordon laid down a lap just 1.3 seconds slower than Montoya's best of the day in the same car.

Yes, he did it as Douglas said!
I remember watching that.
They both ran laps in each others cars.
As I remember Jeff's lap time were close to Montoya's in the F-1 car, but Montoya's time were way off of Jeff's in the stock car!
