This guy asked to meet up with me last Monday. We've been e-mailing each other while he's deployed. The ship that he was on just arrived last Sunday.
So he drove to my house and waited in front of the door. He took me to a nice Italian restaurant. While in the car, we talked a lot about cars, drums, and Bodies exhibit (as he loved cars and drums and I love the Bodies exhibit). He tried so many times to tickle me while I had my seatbelt on. We flirted a lot. HE SILENTLY REACHED FOR MY RIGHT HAND AND ATTEMPTED TO KISS IT. I was super paranoid about being tickled so, not knowing what he was about to do, I grabbed my hand away from him.
So we arrived at the mall and while looking for the restaurant at the directory list, he slightly touched my back. I did cling onto his right arm while we walked.
We headed back to the car. He opened the car door for me. His hand was on my thigh while driving and I held his hand. He held my hand in return.
BUT HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT 2ND DATE.

He has my e-mail and phone number. While he was deployed, we'd been e-mailing each other for one month. We actually exchanged 140 e-mails in one month-- we just counted for the fun of it. =) He has my number, too.
When he arrived on Sunday, he texted me telling me that he couldn't wait to meet in person. The following day, Monday, he immediately asked me to meet up with him on that very same day.

Well, as for the kiss, he did try to kiss my hand, but just because I am really paranoid about being tickled, when he grabbed my hand and I didn't know what he was about to do--I thought he was gonna tickle me-- so I pulled my hand away.
Now I regret doing that.. like TOTALLY regret doing that!!! =(

Well sounds like you like him and he likes you, OK he did not say anything about a second date, so why don't you just ring up and say you wanted to thank him for the other night and that you had a good time, then if he asks you out again well good, if not then just wait and see what happens, i have done the same thing, for goodness sakes do not be afraid to ring him up if you really like him, what's to say he's not waiting for you to ring. good luck.

Sounds like you had a very nice date. As for the lack of asking for a 2nd date... Either, he's shy/nervous/etc and couldn't get the nerve up to ask you. [Kinda like he didn't seem to try to kiss you on the lips, let alone the cheek.] Or he's trying to be "cool" and waiting a couple days before contacting you again. [see movie: "Swingers"]
Either way, you had what seems to be a fun and sweet time. Can't ask for much more than that on a first date. Hopefully, he'll call. Or at least you two will get back to emailing each other, where you can then tease him about not asking you out for a 2nd date.

obviously ur falling for him...but sad to say he was just playing around.if he really likes u. well then, he should have asked u how to contact u just to keep in touch but he didn't...go find another date...
