I don't think that my beliefs are "better" than anyone elses, but I do think that they are right. I think there's a thin line between "right" and "better". I believe that everyone thinks their own beliefs are right though...thats why they believe in them in the first place! but thinking one religion is better than another is just incredibly ignorant and it always hurts me to see when people actaully do believe that. I would never disrespect someone else's beliefs in that way.

edit: Siloam Tech--you should do some more research before making the claims that you are. you are getting your religions all mixed up and are being disrespectful. I know many hindus...none of which do any rituals with cobras. and buddhists believe that you can reach nirvana in this lifetime by having respect for all of god's creatures, meditation, rejecting materialiam, etc. besides, buddhism is more of a way of life than a religion. get your facts straight.

Religion is man's ideas about how to earn the favor of God. I don't believe in being religious.

As a Christian I have a relationship to Jesus, not a religion. I do go to church and spend time with other believers, however if anyone asks me what my religion/denomination is I just tell them that I choose to think of myself as a Christian or as a believer in Jesus Christ.

Most of the world's religions say about the same things, do good, don't be selfish, don't steal, lie, murder etc. Jesus said something different. He said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father, but by me." Budha, Mohammed and all the others said, "I am seeking the light, I seek the truth." Jesus is the only who said, "I am the truth". Logically there are only three conclusions to draw from his sttatement. 1. He is a liar. 2. He is absolutely crazy. 3. He is correct. If you read the Bible and see what it says about Jesus and the way he lived and loved people, and gave his life for them, then answer 3 is true about Jesus.

I believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He died to pay for my sins. I believe in him. I have read the Bible; I have developed a loving relationship with Jesus Christ that fills my heart and life with peace. Jesus is better than anyone else I've ever known so I'm satisfied with him.

I am not better than anyone. I don't have the right to be hateful to anyone who believes differently than me. Almost everyone has met someone who said they were a Christian, but they were a jerk. I think of it like this. Bad Christians don't make Christianity invalid/wrong, anymore than a bad car repairman makes auto repair shops not exist.

The only offense I'm getting is how stupid the question is. No offense.

If anyone is religious, and say they're Christians, than they're probably going to think that Christianity is the best religion. If they have a religion, then they're going to think they're own religous structure is the best.

No one's going to think they they believe in the second best thing...

There are only two religions in the world... only two. Those religions are:

1. The religion of the accomplishments of God

2. The religion of the efforts of man

The religion of the accomplishments of God is Biblical Christianity. It is all about what God has already done for mankind through His Son, Jesus Christ. God has already made the way to heaven for us. There is nothing that we can possibly due to win God's favor or earn heaven. God is holy and we must come to God God's way, which is by faith alone.

The religion of the efforts of man are all other religions other than Biblical Christianity. These include Islam, Buddhism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Gnosticism, etc. They all teach the same basic premise. That premise is what mankind can do through his/her own efforts to win God's favor and approval. Although some of these may teach that God has provided a way to heaven, that way is NOT free through faith alone. You must do some sort of external works, deeds, or pay some sort of homage in order to win access to heaven or Nirvana.

I don't believe in Religion of any kind because religion is man made beliefs and tradition and celebrates the flesh.
I believe in Christian Spirituality because Spirituality deals with truth and cancels out anything man made and focuses entirely on the word of God.
Glory is God Almighty!

There is nothing wrong in feeling your religion better than others provided only if you know how to practice it correctly.

And only the Eternal Divine Religion (Sanatan Vedic Dharma) can be practiced correctly, because it is for universal following.

I do feel 'proud (read humble) of following my religion. And I can dare say that I am right.

I am a humanist, which is logical to me. After all, religions were all concocted by man, anyway, and all they seem to do is create conflict in the world, because their members naturally think theirs is THE one to abide by.
I wonder if Jesus Christ would even recognize what people are doing in his name, nowadays. I believe he would revolt, just as it is written he did when he threw the merchants from the Temple.
He would probably not even recognize today's opulent architecture of the humble house of worship.

I don’t believe in religion, I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins, and that God raised Him from the dead. The name of Jesus Christ is the name above all names, so yes He is better then any religion. †

Philippians 2:9-11 “Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” †

This will happen when Jesus returns to earth. †

My religion fits me. Ok, common we know we all think that our religion is better than others, that is the reason we have a religion. People stay at where they think it is best for them, there fore making them think they are better.
