FILLED THE EARTH !!! now the next day God had not caused it to rain,AND THERE WAS NOT A MAN TO TILL THE SOIL,so a mist went up and watered the land .NOW GOD CREATES ADAM,LATER EVE.The earth was full of beings before Adam, and I imagine every race.

I don't mean this in a smart way, but you ask what I thought, so here it is; I think that you must be very young to think that the answer that Robert D gave is the answer to the whole mystery of human evolution. which by the waay we were created, we didn't evolve from any form of creature that walked on dry ground, swam in the sea, or from some big bang theory. I am intitled to my opinion as well.

Basing scientific questions on pre-literary childrens stories is very bad form.

Study the Bible froman anthropological perspective and stop thinking it is an inerrant rulebook of how everything is.

No answers at all in your "question".

This theory was presented last month in a science periodical. I'll try to track down the link...

UPDATE: It's not the original link I recall, but it's the same story.

On to the other Q - attempting to understand the historical development of humanity by lending credence to the flood story is like using Grimm's Fairy Tales as a parenting guide.
