Well first of all, not all guys are shy! Although, I am shy, when there is a girl that I really have a crush on, or I just want to flirt or talk to, my shyness is overridden by my riskyness!

Look guys are shy out of respect. They respect a girl when they are shy, because they don't want to be rude or intrude in a girl's personal space. If a girl shows a wink, or a smile towards the guy, or "breaks ice" then he will talk more. Generally, these type of guys are very easy to talk with and get along with, they are just respecting the lady.

Kinda fear of rejection, but also a crush isn't exactly a good basis to go off of in most relationships.
"Hi. I like you. Let's go out!"
Well, with the exception of most high school relationships kind of being like this, it's not really great to start a relationship like this, and it seems embarrasing if you try and tell someone this.
