Denii you ain't heard nothing yet and Bobanaly, your correct
GOD didn't order the slaying of Issac.
But, what about Job. Lost everything, cattle, sheep, children and then as close to death as one could come. Not through yet, he had to endure the worms as they ate his flesh. I have childern, Robin, Patti and Brandon. What grief, all the children restored could not replace my precious children. I would probably scream, why, why, why? Why be rightious if you recieve this type of punishment? God help the sinners. If this was done as types and shadows for our lives, what about their lives, are our lives valued more than theirs. Sacrificed for us. A little to harsh don't you think.

It's like this:
Satan is always out to make God a liar.

Satan wanted to do this with Job.

God instead proved Satan out to be a liar.

The death of Job's children and household was unfortunate to say the least, but we are all going to die, I think a lot of people will agree with that statement. The eternal life with God is what it's all about anyway.

So don't think that God didn't have those people who trusted Him banished to Hell as well as dying in very bad circumstances.

Anyone can trust God to keep His word, and His word states that if you trust Him, you will have His guarantee that you will have eternal life.

Yes it was harsh what poor Job went through. But you have to know this God knew Job's heart before he ever allowed Job to be tested this way. God knew that Job was a faithfull man even if it meant death to him . This is very symbolic today in the way many people will be to God in this day and time. satan can kill the body but he cannot kill the spirit. This was what God proved with Job. God knew Job's heart or God would have never placed Job in that situation in the first place. God knows everything and their is no one that is above God or below God. God is the beginning and the End. The alpha and the omega. God does everything for a reason. God can stop anything he wishes and God can allow things to happen to people to strengthen them for his own purposes. God knew that he could use Job and Job would not fell the test. God is a good God.While our understanding of God is a mystery sometimes and God's time is not like our own. God has everything planned for a purpose. God gave Job back and Job being a man of God might not have understood either. But Job had faith and never gave into satan and this is what God ask us to do today. Thank you and God Bless you.

I must say that was hard to read.

"Why be righteous if you receive this type of punishment? God help the sinners." -- You

That is the whole point of the book of Job I believe.

I think that the book is there to show us that life isn't good because we obey or that reward is the reason to be good.

Instead, I think it is showing that we will need to figure out the reasons for the things that happen the best we can. Just because you believe doesn't mean you won't suffer. The Bible constantly says, that the Creator is peace. Perhaps it means peace for a believer's mind in those times of trouble.

Job is based on a real person, but is not the actual story of a real person.

Job is the first bible story that illustrates how God might give up a righteous man to Satan, and allow Satan to wear himself out attempting to destroy that man, only to have God restore all things, in the end.

Job is a type of Christ. The story is a prefiguring of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

People just gotta face the facts - God is GOD - and He ain't responsible to NOBODY

Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
