Why does it bother them so much that atheists come here? I don't see why they should be so offended by it. I know some people just ask because they're curious, but you can tell by the way some people word their questions that it really bothers them. I'm just wondering why.

They feel if we have no belief, we have no right to discuss or debate the existence of their god. They have no problem going to the Homosexuality section and preaching, even though they're not gay (or so they say)... by their logic, they ARE gay, but are denying it by preaching to others.

Why are you so unaware of what an atheist is?! greater to the element in case you do not understand what an atheist is why are you so illiberal, hate crammed, bigoted and persecuting in direction of them?! ATHEIST - somebody who does not have faith in a God – any God – not in basic terms the Christian one. yet that doesn't mean they don't carry sturdy ethical or religious ideals! they are able to persist with any faith that doesn't have a god and there are a number of those! Like BUDDHISM – religious coaching from Buddha and his followers that with the help of destroying greed, hatred and fable (the reason for all suffering) guy can attain suited enlightenment! what's your obsession with atheists? Are you yet yet another that has abandoned christianity and the theory in a loving god for the excitement of being anti atheist and indulging in all that undesirable human emotion against your fellow guy? What do you human beings call your new faith?

We ought to ask the theists to be sure, but I'll add my two cents while I can.

I personally come here to tout the benefits of atheism. It's an honest way to live because honesty is at it's very roots. For those of you who deem honesty to be a virtue... think about that most of all.

Additionally, I truly believe that atheism is a firm and very sensible foundation upon which to build ones personal philosophy of life. It accommodates societal and personal morality, politics, interpersonal relationships, peacefulness, etc., etc., quite comfortably in the full light of reason and logic. It offers one the ability to use what he knows and to learn what he doesn't know without being bridled by the foolishness of imposed taboos. I quite frankly see it as the way of the future.

It's my firm belief that it is not man's God-given purpose to learn about Eden but rather it can be and ought to be every man's personally chosen purpose to construct it.... The question is: are you a man who is willing to choose?

I think they're just like children on too many levels.
This is mine - I don't want to play with you - my way is the only way - I know what the truth is - you don't believe in my invisible sky thing so therefore something must be wrong with YOU - stop trying to tell me to think - I know what I know - and so on.

Most "Christians" that I've come across have a superiority complex. They seem to think that they belong to this exclusive club and anyone who is not a member is beneath them and should not be anywhere near their little clique. Snobby, aren't they?
