Actually you need a very good background in maths and it will stay with your for the rest of your career if you want to go into radiography.

Firstly you need to study physics in your undergraduate degree which has a lot of maths in it. Especially your radioactivity part of the subject, there will be a lot of mathematical modeling which can be quite complex.

Either way, radiography or radiation therapy, you need a very good understanding of the physics behind it and mathematical model that goes with it.

Lead clothes is often used by doctors to eliminate radioactive dose to their body.
