Oh, TOUGH question. Parvo is such an easily spread disease. Problem is, you could step on a patch of ground where these dogs defecated, even though the poop itself is gone, and you could track it right into your house without knowing. I'd suggest leaving your shoes where your pup can't get near them, and this is probably the one scenario I'd suggest using puppy piddle pads until your pup has all its shots. I'd be very cautious even letting the pup on the deck. But other than the piddle pads, That may be your only viable option. I sure hope your pup doesn't get it. I wish your neighbors were more responsible. Letting them roam is most likely what got them infected, which wouldn't have happened if they'd been vaccinated. I'd probably go ask them to keep their dogs at home. Parvo can be shed in their feces, even though they have survived the disease.

Contact your Vet if your puppy has been around these dogs or out in the yard or deck where they have been before you realized they had Parvo. Your Vet will make the best recommendations because if your pup has already been exposed, the earliest possible intervention means a good chance of survival IF your dog has been exposed. Also, the Vet can recommend how to clean the deck and probably will advise against your pup going potty in either the yard, or in the deck area where the sick dogs have been, as well as other precautions to take for avoiding having your pup get sick.

The only way to truly protect your dog from parvo is to keep those dogs out of you yard and your pup will be more protected once it's had it's full set of parvo vaccines. One vaccine is not enough to protect it. I believe it's a series of 3 shots. Make sure that your yard is always cleaned up, in case one of the other dogs came into your yard and went to the bathroom. The only way to make sure that your yard is safe is to 1) find a way to keep them out (fence); and 2) bleach your yard (probably have to kill all the grass; and 3) turn all the soil (i've even heard of removing and replacing with new soil.
If your neighbor's dogs are running thru the neighborhood with this dangerous disease, I would call animal control and let them know right off the bat that the dogs have parvo, so they are aware and do not put other dogs in danger when they pick them up. No one should let their dogs just run around the neighborhood, especially with Parvo. Just because they are on medicine doesn't mean yours can't get it.
Best of luck making sure your pup doesn't get it. Make sure you know all the symptoms of it in the event your pup shows any symptom, get him into the vet ASAP to give him a better chance of pulling thru.

Your pup will not be fully protected until it has had all of his shots. Do not let your puppy out until you have barricaded your deck. Bleach will kill the virus. Scrub the deck very good. The Parvo virus can live for eight months on the ground. Watch your pup closely. If he get listless and just wants to sleep get him to the Vet immediately.

My puppy got parvo and was at the vet for about a week hooked up to IV's and such. We did not know about the shot until it was too late, luckyily our vet saved her, i HIGHLY recommend that you get the parvo shot and keep your precious pup away from the others that were infected. Though there is disinfectant, i would not completely trust that hope some of my advice helped!

If you sanitize all you can and your puppy gets the parvo vaccine, he should be ok, but still be careful.
