Maybe this won't make much of a difference, but I'm wondering which time-slot I should sign up to interview during. The interviewer will be on campus conducting interviews from 8:30 AM-4:00 PM, with a couple breaks in the middle. There are 6 time slots of an hour each. I'm wondering if it would be to my advantage to go for an early, middle, or late slot. What do you guys think? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Here's some friendly advice: 10 AM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and 2 PM Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Never schedule an interview on Monday or on Friday afternoon although remain flexiable as there may be an occasion where you are unable to follow this rule. Basically you do not want to be the first person nor the last person interviewed. Mondays are bad because that is the day to take care of all left over work from the week before and tends to be a rushed kind of day, Friday afternoon people have shifted their attention to plans for the weekend.

8:30 is rediculously early. Unless you're a total morning person, you probably won't be running at full speed and will not make an optimal impression.

Go for one right after the interviewer has lunch. He'll be relaxed and won't be thinking about being hungry. Good luck.

I perform interviews myself. It doesn't really matter what time you are interviewed. There are pros and cons on all of the timings, either being first, or in the middle, or last. I guess if you interest the interviewer, the interview will be as lively as can be.

if you are clearly the best, you want to be in the middle. That lets the interviewer warm up on lesser people and brings you in before she is worn out.

if you're one of the best, you want to be in before the other equally good candidates. Memory of equal things is loaded to the first and last.

If you're memorably different, you want to be last. And then move the interview out of the interview room and over to the coffee shop nearby. You treat, of course.

Give Rumcoke_77 10 points, because that's exactly what I was going to say. By 3:30-3:45 he's getting worn down of interviews and we'll be more anxious to leave!
Btw, thanks for the 2 points!

i'd suggest to go to the 9:30.
you don't really want the first one because it's still early and people are still waking up.
you don't want to go to the one right before lunch, because he'll be in a hurry to get some grub.
you don't really want the one right after lunch either, because he'll still be in break mode
and you don't want to be the last one of the day because he'll already start thinking about leaving for the day.

Go between 1 and 3 -- they won't be hungry and there's a better chance they'll remember you.
