Hello. I am a 14 year old male. Quite a few months ago I noticed that my testicles were somewhat discolored, which light skin and white hair on the left sack and darker skin and black hair on the right sack, with a few large patches of light skin on the back of the testicles. I was not sure what to do, and I was very embarrased, so I decided to observe what would happen the next few months. Over this time, it has not become uniform, and so now I am a bit worried. I have discoloration on my hands and knees, though, and they have no side effects to my health except self-esteem. One thing that is kind of strange is this chunkiness on the left sack. I had just noticed it today while in the shower. It feels kind of wierd, but it could be multiple large tubes connecting the testicles with the penis. However, there is nothing like this on the right side. Could anyone give me any help?

PS. Is there a doctor that deals solely with penises? I am pretty sure my main doctor would not know this.

Okay, after research on the internet and asking friends on the internet, I have come up with some logical guesses. The discoloration could possibly be vitiligo, because of the similar discoloration on my hands and one of my knees. The cyst thing could be a scrotal mass, possibly spermatocele, as it seems to be in the same location as the diagrams I have seen. I am going to tell what I think to my dad tomorrow, and see if he can get me an appointment with a urolagist(sp?).

It may be vitaligo (check my spelling it is very poor), a skin condition that is a lack of pigmentation. I think going to your regular doctor is the best place to start.

God bless!

Start with your family doc, if it is out of his league, he will refer you to a urologist.

I am so glad that you are doing testicular self examination! Catching things like this early is the key!

Go in and get checked out. This is not something you should ignore, especially when it's in that area.

the discoloration could be vitligo, the size difference is common, but the textural differences is worrisome. And guess what, yes your family doctor WOULD know about that sort of thing. Make an appointment and have it checked out, it's the mature thing to do.

I suspect yrou conclusions in yoru 'additional details' are pretty close to reality. So the trip to a urologist is the wise move.

The specialist you would need to see is a urioligist (i may have spelled a bit incorrectly. They work w the "male parts " your primary doc knows of this specialist and can refer you to one. They wil help you alot as I have had to take my son to a few due to birth defects when he was little-luckily all is taken care of for him.

Dude, go to your doctor right away. This is nothing to mess with. YES, your primary care physician will know about this or refer you to specialist if needed.
