Don't women read the Bible, and see how badly they are looked upon in it? They still get the shaft when they want to be ministers or priests, so why support the misogyny that Christianity represents?

Women are not badly looked upon there are many well know women in the Bible a couple even have their own books Ruth, Esther. Mary is highly looked upon, there is also Mary Magdalene. Women hold all sorts of positions in the Church some even are Pastor now, oh my, There are many Woman who are Evangelist, Joyce Myers is a very popular woman Evangelist. I never get this thing that says Women are badly looked upon in the Christian Religion. Yes there are the stupid men that say they rule and the women must serve. Honestly though a real Christian man loves his wife and treats her with respect and honors her. He may have the title of Spiritual Head of the house hold but that does not mean that he is to be a dictator. I like the saying that God took a bone from Adams rib because it was at his side. A woman is not lower or beneath a man she is his partner standing beside him not beneath him or behind him.

No no this is a entire fake impact. Any misogyny that occurs is from lack of know-how. women can coach. women have merely as many rights as adult males! in case you flow to a church have been women are inferrior, nicely, this is an exceedingly undesirable church. I evaluate myself a "feminist" and a Christian. Jesus broke intense cultural normes appropriate to women whilst He hit the scene. The Jews of the time did not enable women to get an non secular coaching, or fairly the rest. They have been seen properity. It grew to become into unwell. Jesus grew to become into the 1st to have women disciples. He acknowledged first to the girls whilst He grew to become into resurrected and He rebuked Martha for asking Mary to cease listening to His coaching and help her with the chores. So the verses that look "misoginistic" are merely misinterrpreted. in case you study in elementary terms one verse and none surronding than you at the instant are not getting a truthful image.

You assume the wrong thing in your question. The Bible doesn't place women in inferior positions. It is true that women are not to be the head pastor of a church and that men and women sometimes have different roles. That doesn't make women, or men, inferior. In fact women are elevated in the Bible. A woman's testimony didn't mean much back in the time of Jesus but it is a woman that is the witness to the tomb of Jesus being empty. Also you have many female heroes in the Bible. So I suggest you read the Bible a little closer and also see how it in fact elevates women and shows us the proper roles men and women place in society.

Jive Man:

did yo know that many go to "church" to be sexually stimulated by the females and the effeminate?

Worship as THRESKIA in the IMPURE form was invented by Orpheus and the LESBIAN women from Lesbos. It is clear that Orpheus, Apollo (Satan) and all of the QUEER "gods" are the GENUN (Genii, Kabiri, queer artisans of craftsmen) as versions of the Cain (from a musical mark) and the Lamech family of Jubal (who HANDLED musical instruments in a sexual and UNAUTHORIZED form), Jabal (free animal stealers--collectors), Tubal-Cain (the gay smith-minstrels) and Naamah (the enchantress).
History 100% proves that when males drift off from a SAY or SPEAK mode (cantillation) into a TUNEFUL mode it is the MARK of and a MANUFACTURER of the effeminate impulses.

QUOTING:
Peraino, Judith Ann "Listening to the Sirens: Music As Queer Ethical Practice"
GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies - Volume 9, Number 4, 2003, pp. 433-470.

Duke University Press Excerpt

"The history of Western music is, among other things, a history of sexual anxiety, ambivalence, and negotiation. This article examines four moments in this musical-sexual history, each no less than eight hundred years from the next: the Siren episode in the Odyssey (c. 700 B.C.E.), the writings of Augustine (composed 387- 413), the music and writings of Hildegard of Bingen (composed 1150-75), and the performances of Marilyn Manson in 1996." ENDQUOTE.

John in Revelation points us to Kirke or Circe, the holy whore and the Siren's to IDENIFY the Anti-Christian church which re-defines "worship." They are the LOCUSTS and John promises that they will all go back into hell.

In frontier religionism this was a JOINT VENTURE between ignorant-but-charismatic preachers and women seeking authority. The FUSION is still at play when they whine WE GOTTA GIT US SOME OF THAT.

The so-called POSTMODERN Narrative Theology is a thinly-disguised blend of Liberation Theology and FEMINIST theology.
Music is the MARK of the BEAST. From ancient Babylonian tablets the ZOE (Eve) as the Mother of the gods is called the "BEAST and the female instructing principle."

Males filled the same Male but Female role in GREEK THEATER and most RITUAL drama. This is the meaning of RISING UP TO PLAY where music (harmony from Apollo or Apollyon meaning "moving together"). Plato warned that this always produces GENDER CROSSOVER or GENDER BLEED.
That is why PSALLO as the ONLY "proof" for musicating is always used of Males grooming young boys.

The urge to IGNORE the absolute proof in the Bible is an attempt of GODDESS WORSHIP by the "Muses" is intended to DEFUSE the opponents who are CATCHING ON and fleeing.

B/c somewhere in the Bible there's a verse that says a man is to love his wife as part of his body (or something like that), the guy is supposed to spend a year making her happy and supposedly it says marriage is supposed to be a partnership. They use that to excuse everything, taking verses out of context (it says submit to your husband BUT they argue that you should anyway to treat him equally (using the assumption that he's doing everything right and in perfect agreement with the wife)
They tend to 'forget' the OT that says women are worth half of what a male is and they are 'unclean' for a longer amt of time after having a girl...or that the 'punishment' for being raped is sometimes to be married off to the rapist (BTW, there are plenty of examples of polygamy in the OT so getting married is hardly a punishment for the guy)
Oh, there's also the fact that they are 'given' to the opposing army as spoils of war.
Edit: The OT women who achieved great titles did so by marrying-not by their works-and once they became queen (one was a judge even) they did NOTHING to verify equality among the sexes
I personally think MM was a great Gnostic and Jesus' best friend but 'the Church' has let everyone believe for centuries that she was a prostitute! As far as Mary the Mother goes, what was she supposed to have done for us to look up to? Get pregnant outside of wedlock and convince everyone it's God's? Granted, that is quite the sales pitch but hardly anything to work at doing myself.

Hey Jive Man dont you read the Bible. Women are not put down and belittled or looked down on in the Bible.

Jesus showed them great honor he revealed some spiritual truths to women that he did not reveal to any man.

Women are held in a possitive way in the Bible.

In a large part is was the missuse of the Bible that put woman in a bad light that allowed husbands to dominate them not what the Bible says

You have gotten some really good answers so far......... but, I bet you do not see one of them as valid...... and they are....... I am a woman, I do NOT feel inferior or lower than a man.... I have a different station in life...... same plain, different station........ If a woman wants to have a career that is fine by me, and probably with God too..... but, that is between her and God !!!!!!! Women can do things that men can not, and we are better at MANY things than men, but we do NOT have to have a trade mark on it, or the bragging rights........ Most of us do our jobs, do them well and move on...... IF you would read the Bible you would also know this one little fact : women are NOT commanded to love their husbands....... but the husbands are commanded to love their wives and treat them well and fair !!!!!!!!!!! I could say a lot more, but........ go in peace........... God bless

If you study history it was christianity which liberated women from abuse.

While the woman has a different place in christianity than men, it is not inferior. The only thing a woman cannot have is a governmental position. But there is a trade off, a man cannot give birth to children.

Actually even the early Christians allowed women to be in leadership positions. Pliny the Younger admitted to torturing two Christian women who were called deaconesses.

Man are you full of Jive. You are wrong .....

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife,

Come to Christ Jive Man Come to Christ
