i have a regular Macbook and it will def handle all of that. and plus its smaller so its way more portable!

i say the only reason to get a Pro would be if u like bigger screens, need TONS of memory, or louder speakers.

I would think a macbook should do just fine. I use an old macbook and I do video editing and photoshop just fine. And the new macbooks are a lot faster. You will want at least one gig of ram though. Apples are the best computers out there! You can get good deals on mac at www.macmall.com or Microcenter. What ever you do don't get an Windows Vista computer they suck. I know from experience. Mac is easily the best thing out there!

Macbook. You only need the Pro if you do any 3D applications (gaming, SOME 3D rendering, some final cut pro things). Video editing, most 3D rendering and photoshopping only need RAM and CPU speed... 3D acceleration does practically nothing.

The pro also has a back-lit keyboard, but gets worse wireless and battery life than the normal MB.

With the money you save from getting the macbook, make sure you get 2gb RAM (You can get this from other non-apple websites for *much* cheaper... Any DDR2-667 SODIMM ram will work... even the cheap stuff (Crucial rendition...) from newegg) and as fast of a CPU as you can afford.

you need to be asking yourself do I need to do some research into the mac computer systems?

first if you by a Apple Mac you will need to know what the total over all price is going to cost you over the life time of the computer..

Being that the mac is over priced to start with, and the software is expensive to buy, all accessories come with a big price tag, which you can only buy from a mac store, all repairs come with a big price tag also,

The reason for this is it is a stand alone computer system. meaning you can not buy software, hardware, or have it repaired by anyone other than Apple Mac.

think about it
