there is a plant caled a resurrection plant that could live without water for 50 years. We have it in our classroom.

In Shara desert there are some special trees...That sleep for 3 or 5 years without rain..The name is "acacia " the tree grow also in Etyopi...They live ..sleeping...and when rain put leaves..and became green !Are full of thorns..

could be that that area wasnt continually a desolate tract, and has a watger table underground the place the palnt gets its water from/ the area could not be a genuine desolate tract (working example phenoix isn't a genuine desolate tract and is definitely semi arid). some hands can take care of long classes of time with little or no moisuture (like mexican and california fan hands besides as medditeranean fan hands). ultimately it could in basic terms look like a palm tree yet in line with probability its a yucca that may take care of dry situations particularly properly.

Dead trees. All trees need water, even the few inches per year that falls in the desert.
