Most men have a plan, and they tell you that with in 32 seconds of them meeting you. So think back to the early days, did he say 2 years is a good time to get to know you?
10 years?
Sounds like he has a plan and a penis, which means he will do it when it seems like his idea. So leave it alone if you want him, if you dont do the neighbor

Sounds like he isn't ready. Sounds like he is telling you just enuff to keep you onboard.
Only you know how long is too long. Just think about how much time you will have invested in him and the fact that you can't get that back. What's worse is wasting even more precious time with someone that clearly doesn't get where you are coming from. Give him a timetable and be willing to do what you say. If he knows that you will stick around no matter what, he will never give you what you want. But when you draw the line, be willing to walk away if he continues to be vague.
Good luck!

Don't back down, keep it fresh in his mind everyday.
You deserve an honest answer.
Don't argue, try and just talk calmly about it, and don't show that you are frustrated.
ten minutes everyday,should do.
Talk to his mom(if he has one),usually mom always wants her son to marry and get a life, but only if she kinda likes you,its hard for moms to let go.Sometimes they cry when you bring it up.That's why you should tell her.And if she is willing to talk to you about it, tell her the long wait is his idea, not yours.
I bet his dad just wants to kick him in the a** to get him "off the proverbial pot".
Tell your boyfriend you aren't getting much younger, so make up his mind while you are still in your child bearing years(joke but also serious).
Ask him after a raise at work or a new job that he likes, that's the best time, before he goes out and spends all his money , and is miserable again.
Good luck with this guy,(if i were you,I'd be looking for other fish in the sea)

You've moved in with him and have sex often as married people do (assumably because you live together this opportunity comes up more). To marry you would be having to make commitments which he didn't have to do before. Sorry, but I am skeptical that he will propose soon.
Do let him know how you feel about this problem and see what he has to say as well. You need to draw more boundaries to demarcate the differences from boyfriend-girlfriend relationships and husband-wife relationships.

Wait until after New Years. After that, all of the good holidays have passed and it looks like he's not going to do it. I'd dump him then. Life is too short to waste with a commitment phobe.

you wont see one love, anyone that lives together before marriage are using each other. He is using you. Marriage is not just a piece of paper, and why should he marry you when thats the arrangement you both allready have without the extra expense and stuff.
Im married and nebver lived with my girl before marriage, it ruins everything.

Well, if you are ready, as my boyfriend put it...to be ringed up :), then why dont you just propose to him...or wait or walk away. What else could you do. Now if you put alot of thought and energy into your proposal, then one he will give you an answer and or it will open up realtime discussion.
Good Luck.

I think you should sit down with him and tell him you want to get married, and soon. If you two know you want to be together forever why wait right? at the same time, maybe it would be cute to ask him yourself.
