Whaever happened to Lost Drive-in? Some of those old movies were actually more entertaining than some of the stuff you show now.

I wouldn't mind it IF they stuck to racing movies, and that's a mighty big IF. Stroker Ace, Six Pack, Days of Thunder, Driven, Winning, Grand Prix are a few that would be decent viewing.

Other than that, I agree with Ray Y. Speed has gone to hell in a hand basket. I remember the first thing I ever watched on Speedvision (as it was known back then) was a CASCAR race in Montreal. Since then, I've watched races from all over the world. But since Fox bought them out, I don't watch much more than WoO races, the trucks, and NASCAR practice and qualifying....when it's on. As far as the rest of the junk on there....they can have it.

Maybe we need another channel.....the Automotive Reality Channel...better yet Channel of Automotive Reality...or CAR. Then give us back Speed as an only racing channel!!!

How hideous of an ignorant programing blunder there ever was.
How about a racing series that going on in another part of the world? This is the Speed Channel not the replay a movie with a car in it channel.
That is as bad of an idea as most of the changes in NASCAR if not the most ridiculous idea I have ever heard.
But that being said I am sure this NASCAR channel that you are hoping will bring back the lost cruddy film drive-in will once again taint the air waves and go against every thing there channel stands for and once again maintain the level of boredom that NASCAR has become.
I do agree with you though about 1 that is one thing there stuff they show now is horrible. It's like they are on destruct mode.
For you expert newbies Speed use to show a bunch of racing from all over the world and then I believe FOX got a hold of the channel and well it's pretty much a reality channel now after NASCAR is done.

May have been some cheesey movies but they were well worth watching.
And in the wounderful (sic) wold of TV stations and corporations buy out each other and change the format, well guess when FOX got hold of Speed they decided that Speed did not need to be entertaining.
