I just weighed myself on the carpet and it said 280 IBS. However when I got off the carpet and weighed myself on a hard concrete floor it said 266 IBS. 280 is what USED to weight unless I still weigh that much. If 266 ibs is right. Then somehow I lost 15 IBS in one week. Hard to believe. No way.

Well, when you weigh yourself while your scale is on carpet, the results will be less accurate.

I would believe that your weight while the scale was on the concrete is more accurate. Try weighing yourself a few times on that scale (on the concrete). Some scales can get screwed up sometimes. You might also want to use a different scale.

Weighing yourself on a scale on the carpet will always be inaccurate, because it is not level (it gives). You should weigh yourself first thing in the am, after you have relieved yourself, before you eat, without clothing, on a hard, level surface, with the same scale, to get the truest weight possible. If unable to weigh first thing in the am, at least do it at the same time every day, but try not to right after a meal.

Never weigh yourself on carpeting. You won't get an accurate reading. Always put the scale on a hard surface. To make sure your scale is set accurately, set a 10 lb.dumbbell or an item of accurate weight and see what your scale says. If it's off adjust that amount plus or minus to 0.

You'll weigh more when you are weighing yourself on a ordinary household scale on carpet. Most accurate to weigh yourself at the same place and the same time of day but weekly not daily to establish weight loss (without clothes privately if possible).
