what does "unknow hard error" means? it shows up every time i install xp sp2?

it means that windows can not find a hardware driver for something on you're computer system..

so how you get round that is to find out what the hardware is that windows is having problems with...

it could be your memory is faulty, meaning it is not 100% working, or your hard drive as not got enough space to install SP2,

so you will have to eliminate what the problem is...

it means your hard drive probably is very old and cannot install xp sp2 on it try buying another hard drive and try to buy a good one thats fast and good trust me your gonna need lot of money but it'll be worth it
