I have the same problem, except I have tons of scars on my legs. I found that rubbing Vitamin E oil on the scar twice a day will slowly help it to fade. It takes awhile, but it works. Or, you could get Neosporin Scar Solution or Mederma to apply to the scar. Good luck! I know how embarrassing scars can be, but this works. :]

there is a relatively new product called Dermatix that makes scars disappear. although it is really, really expensive (something like $50 for 1g) it is the best product on the market and you only need to use a little bit so it's probably worth investing in it if the scar bothers you that much.

Coco Butter, the kind in a thick rub on
stick, that really smells like Coco.
Also ask your Pharmacist, I did see some
treatments for scars at the Drug Store.

See a dermatologist! Scars do fade in time and in the meanwhile you can use aloe, vitamin E and skin fade creams to try and lighten the area. If it's the lower leg, that takes time!

It's not that bad. I have a scar that's on my left knee. Most people tend to ask about it, but I just ignore it. It doesn't affect much. You can still wear shorts and skirts. You should learn to live with who you are, you'll be a lot happier and people tend to flock to people who are happy with themselves and arent' afraid to show it. If it really bugs you, try longer length pants and skirts.

You could probably try going to one of those places where they do spray-on tans and have it covered in a shade that matches your skin tone. Personally, I think scars on women look sexy. It makes a woman look tough.
