I would not take any chances. Go to the bank, they will close the bank account & open a new one for you. Also get a new id and notify the credit bureau that your id was stolen so that they can put a flag on your account. You are dealing with a thief and actually selling or using your id for himself is totally possible.

Good Luck.

If you didn't have any credit cards or bank cards, just a list of account numbers, there's still a small chance they could figure out a way to get into your account. To be on the safe side though, you should still contact your bank and request the account(s) be closed and monies be transfered to a new account.

Never attempt to predict a robber's intention as it will hurt you in the long run. I would strongly suggest calling your bank and changing the account numbers, contact creditors and any other interested parties.

FYI- If you find the guy that stole your car, give me a call... I have been there before and would be happy to assist.

In this day & age anything is possible. You need to close/cancel your accounts and reopen them as well as put a fraud alert on your credit report & notify the DMV you license was stolen.
