Wooee higher than an RN BS, would be experienced nurse, ICU Head Nurse, travel nurse.. they make a fortune with travel expenses paid. Head of a department, go for your masters in Nursing... and I am thinking that will land you as director in Mayo Clinics and the higher end medical treatment centers. You can always specialize i.e., ICU, Neonate, etc with a masters and become director of nursing for that facility in that department...

Hmm.... Registered Nurse Anesthetists make way more than most nurses yet less than a doctor. They administer anesthesia during surgeries under the direction of an Anesthesiologist.
Physical, respiratory, and occupational therapists make more than nurses after they gain some experience.

Physicians Assistant...
Nurse Practitioner
You could get your master's in nursing...that's higher than a bachelor's degree.
Insurance companies pay well for nurses of this caliber....
Good luck to you and your career choice.
