Also the scoring is different. The Nextel Cup series uses the chase for the cup system and the Busch/ Nationwide Series uses the old system where it is a cumulative score for the entire season.
FYI: this is my personal observation.
If you go to the track you can hear a difference. The Nextel Cars are much louder.

I always thought that the Busch Series was like the minor league of NASCAR but with so many NEXTEL drivers in it, it's not. What's more impressive to win, BUSCH championship or NEXTEL championship? I only watch the BUSCH race once in a blue moon to be honest.

nextel cup is the big leauges and the busch series is the minor leagues. yes big league driver drive in the minor league series. the busch series is like a holding corrall for up and coming nextel drivers

Not so much anymore since so many Nextel Cup drivers run in the Busch series.

Busch cars are shaped differently, but as a causal fan, all you really need to know is that the Busch series (called the nationwide series next year) is basically the Nextel Cup's(Next year the Sprint Cup) Triple-A.

basically what Tina and 73 said which makes it not the Not the triple A of cup any more.
Just a mockery or race #1 of the weekend for the cup drivers.

Busch series seem like their slower butit is always an exciting race.

The cars are lighter and are required to use tiny little 390 cfm. Holley carburetors. They can however use roller camshafts which are much easier on the valve train.
