It is a "right" that you are "free" to exercise or not, your decision.

If faced with this decison in real life, I suggest taking it. don;t believe what the cop will tell you after. Their interests are never aligned with yours in such a situation. You, via your attorney, can setlle all the rest later if they are going to "help you".
