The stains only seem to appear from the sweat that I wipe from my head face and neck. The bleaching does not occur anywhere else. I do not any benzoil peroxide containing remedies. Thanks to all who have answered and in advance to all that will.

perspiration is an alkali which changes the pH level of the water in sweat. thus it becomes a base. depending on the level of pH of the sweat it basically turns into a low level leach just by the nature of the chemical composition. wash your shirts often and as soon as your done wearing them. if you let a low level alkali on clothes it eventually reacts with the dyes in clothing.

I have never heard of sweat bleaching your clothes, although sweat can stain clothes yellow under the arms. Soaking in vinegar can sometimes remove these stains.

I had an item of clothing that couldn't be washed and had an odour on it, sweat and cigarette smoke, the way I got rid of it was simply hanging it out on the line outside on a good blowy day, I left it out for a couple of days, just bringing it in at night. It worked for me so maybe worth a try.

I have never heard of sweat bleaching clothing. I know of no body chemical that can do this. Perhaps you should see a dermatologist.

You should read Laura Jefferson’s book "Skin Whitening At Home" ( I saw it's also available in electronic format +video: http://www.skinwhiteningathome.com ). After 8 weeks I managed to get my skin a few tones whiter and I also got rid of freckles.

The method she teaches in her book is natural, inexpensive, and is readily available in most homes. You could even find some ingredients in your own backyard. The most wonderful thing about the method she shares in her book is that it will help you whiten or lighten your skin pigmentations, freckles, age spots, acne marks, dark underarms, melasma, or your overall skin color easily and naturally without breaking your bank or producing dangerous side effects. Good Luck!

Woe! That's really weird. Maybe it's because sweat is somewhat acidic. That would make sense since it burns so much when it gets in your eyes.

You should read this forum, there are some people who have the same problem, but it was actually due to the clothing being poorly made. And when water/sweat was added to it they turned different colors.... maybe its not you?
