OMG don't listen to your Recruiter. Wow If your afraid of deploying then don't join. If you want a good life with free eduction then join. Even though there is a rumor that they will pull out troops doesn't mean you are safe from deployment. My brother was told that he wouldn't deploy until mid 2008 and was shipped out 2 weeks after BCT. You never know what will happen it the chance you take while being in the Military.

No, they did not, further, congress doesn't really have the power to do that....now they did order small amounts of withdrawls, but there will still be many soldiers over in iraq in april 2008.

No. The House of Representatives passed a resolution which calls on the President to present his plans for troop reductions to the Congress on a regular basis. It has yet to be acted on by the Senate.
