My friend is really sad. He's the only guy she could ever cry over and he's being an *** to her. I want to go out with her a little but I am looking for some advice or words of wisdom I could give her to make her feel better? Thanks in advance!

Based on all you have written, there are only two suggestions I can make to you:1)since she is your best friend, be supportive, understanding, and there for her in any way she needs you.2)Try to help her see her relationship with this guy in the correct light without bad-mouthing him.Point out how his treatment of her is not good for her and why it shows he does not care about her.You have to tread very carefully here since you want her too, or she might think you are being selfish with an ulterior motive for any thing you say about him even if they are true.Until things resolve themselves one way or the other, say nothing of your feelings for her.With time and luck, if her boyfriend is as bad as you believe, she will find out ; and since you have been there all this time, she may realize how much you care and this may open the door for you.Right now be her best friend.

too open of a question. why is she crying? did he do something? are you hearing this first hand from her or are their witnesses to the thing that made her cry? the best is to stay out. give her support, if you know about him make your own decision on whether or not he is out of character and out of line. a shoulder to talk is always a good thing to have as long as that shoulder has a level head and keen ear.

Well it would help to know how he offended her.
Tell her to ask him, what exactly is it thats so far jammed up his a** that he's gotta become one to her?
